Pirates 13, Giants 12. The expected Logan Webb–Paul Skenes pitching duel became the day’s highest-scoring game. Pittsburgh put up nine runs in the third inning, but San Francisco kept answering and tied it with five in the eighth. Lowe opened the bottom of the ninth with his fourth hit. With two outs, Osleivis Basabe’s throwing error allowed him to score the winning run. Lowe and Oneil Cruz each collected four hits, and Pittsburgh escaped a game it had once led by six.
