Arizona built a 6-0 lead before Pittsburgh forced extra innings with ninth-inning home runs from Brandon Lowe and Bryan Reynolds. Both teams scored in the 10th, neither scored in the 11th, and James McCann singled home Tyler Locklear in the 12th.

Turning Point: Gerardo Carrillo followed McCann’s go-ahead hit by completing his second hitless inning of relief.
